I believe Parks and Recreation are now by far one of the best sitcoms I have ever seen in my life.
You need to trust me on that. I am kind of running out of options here. I have pretty much seen everything considered even remotely good. So I am actually going in to a wait
phase right now. The phase of not having much to see.
So let me just go on ahead and tell you how I am going to present this spoiler free. You may have noticed that the picture is from season one. That is correct. I am going to present the characters of the first season first and then the characters from the next seasons are going to be presented separately. So do not be afraid of spoilers. There will be a big notice telling you "Spoiler alert".
But first a brief introduction on what Parks and Recreation is about. It's about a small town in Indiana called Pawnee.
In that small town in Indiana there is a local government as usual. Specifically it takes us in to the Parks and Recreation department. For a reason never explained they are making a documentary out of it. That is all you need to know about the story. You will go through so much laugh and awwwness and tenderness that trust me, it's Worth it!
Let us meet the characters that will soon be part of your lives too. Brace yourselves. Oh and prepare for LITERALLY, the best gifs you have ever seen in your life.
1. Leslie Knope/Amy Poehler
Now just a small confession. Am I the only one finding this woman way more attractive than any other woman in the show?

She works in the parks and recreations department and for a reason unexplained she is enthusiastic as fuck! I mean crazy! She loves being a government employee. She loves her town and she would do anything for it.
The problem though is that she is very very unorthodox in the ways she acts which makes it hard for people to follow. But also tons of fun too.
She is one of the most adorable and dynamic characters ever created for a show. She will cute you to death.

2. Tom Haverford/Aziz Ansari
Tom Haverford should be given a prize for not wanting to punch him even though he is a "Swagger". He is that that good.
One of the funniest things about Tom is that he is actually from South Carolina. As he likes to say, he is a "redneck". Every time I get this image on my head I wanna laugh so bad.
Now Tom is truly a great government employee. He hardly works and tries to benefit for his only good. He also love making up new words.

3. Ann Perkins/Rashida Jones
It's true that bitches be crazy and don't know what they want. But when they look like that and really have a good heart underneath you can't really be bad at them can you?
By the way there are two more reasons to love Rashida jones except from the looks.
Did you know she is the daughter of Quincy Jones?
Yes the one and only amazing Quincy Jones! A living legend who has a hot daughter. It's like Steven Tyler!
Except perhaps maybe that Quincy Jones doesn't look like an old witch.
And for the other reason now. Do you have any idea how ugly she was as a child?
Damn right? I mean that is sweet revenge to all the kids that would make fun of her though.

4. Andy Dwyer/Chris Pratt
Andy is the most beloved puppy you will ever get to meet. I mean technically he is something like the Rain man and shit. He is like retarded all the time but also gets glimpses of genius.
To be honest you might think of him as an asshole in the first few episodes, but believe me. You are going to fall in love with him. He is so nice and kind and energetic and cool and sweet all the time you can not fall in love with him. I guarantee it. He is also a rock star!

5. April Ludgate/Aubrey Plaza
That girl is really hard to understand. In the first look you get is that is like a loner sarcastic, loner shit that makes you feel really bad about yourself. And something else.
Her FACE! I cannot believe that Aubrey Plaza can actually make such a great apathy face. To be honest though, I first saw Aubrey Plaza on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and the she had the exact same face. Which is kinda strange.
Anyway later on you get to find out she has a really kind soul deep inside. But like way deep inside though.

6. Ron Swanson/Nick Offerman
My personal hero. I love this guy. There is literally nothing wrong about him. A meat and economy enthusiast. Hardly talks and has crazy interests. I really don't want to spoil the character. You need to live with him to get to know him. He is one of the most funny and highly detailed characters of all time. Stick with him. You are going to love him.

7. Donna Meagle/Retta
Now here is a mysterious woman. Sarcastic as fuck and all we know is she gets tons of men. I wouldn't disagree with her. She kinda has her own special charm I guess. Plus there are people who dig fat chicks.

8. Jerry Gergich/Jim O'Heir
I personally believe this character is a statement the creators injected into the show. It makes you go back to reality. Poor Jerry always messes up everything. People treat him really bad though. Which is being transferred to the viewer. Personally I think Jerry is a wonderful person even if he messes up a lot. Nonetheless he is inseparable from the cast.

And now to the spoilerish part.
9. Mark Brendanawicz/Paul Schneider
So now that we are on the spoiler part we know that Mark only stays for two seasons. Truth be told. I never liked the guy. He wasn't deserving Ann and he was definitely not worthy for Leslie. Fortunately the creators saw that this character was not binding with the rest of the group and boom. He was gone in an instant. It did not make me sad.

10. Chris Traeger/Rob Lowe
He is literally amazing! That guy is fit as a fiddle and he is SOOOOOOO energetic and positive all the time that makes you actually feel uncomfortable. Need I say that he is ridiculously handsome too? I mean really, really beautiful guy. Amazing actor with his funny moments.
But what makes him unique is the interactions with others. The way he talks to people and treats them.

11. Ben Wyatt/Adam Scott
If there is one guy I might look like in real life is Ben. He is a huge nerd and a crazy romantic and thoughtful person too. I mean if I could look a good as he is. Because he is handsome too.
I can't stop laughing and crying with him and how they are with Leslie. They are a perfect couple in this show. Unfortunately it is a show. Because love as this can't be on real life. Nonetheless he is the character I love the most after Ron. He is on tie with Leslie.

I guess that is all. This is only an introduction to the show. You really need to see it, to feel how great it is. You might not go super crazy on the first episodes but please trust me. You will love it. Please give it a try and if you like it, share a comment with me!
